Worm Watch Lab Talk

Start with final image

Couldn't a lot be simplified if the final image was shown (to see if any eggs are layed at all during the sequence?)
Maybe the computer enhancement/image processing could identify bulges and therefore eggs and so no human interaction would be needed at all!

One problem with looking at the final image is that the worms often move more than the size of the field of view even during 30 seconds. It's also important to have some time information to distinguish eggs that were already there from new ones.

Generally, using image processing to find the eggs is a great goal and it's one we hope will be helped significantly by having everybody's manually identified egg laying events.
