    This egg laying defective cannot 'swim' and it appears to have a "lump in its throat". I think that is the head end even though it is marked the other way!

    You're right about the head end being mislabeled, I think the software that does the head/tail end works partially based off of the body outline, so the deformity may be what's causing the confusion.

    The uterus is forward of the vulva, I wonder if she has a belly full of eggs? Maybe she's just reluctant to let them go. Sometimes 'egg laying defective' can mean 'no vulva,' meaning no opening to lay eggs out of. Mama dies when the eggs start to hatch inside her. 😦 I don't know if we have any vulva-less worms in the data though, seems like it would be an odd mutation to monitor for egg laying!
