343 eggs?

That is what @arthurzooniverse2013 marked this one as....
Posted
-
Now I see that @TeamUniverse2014 marked 7 eggs here: AWS0000084 Could be they actually saw them.....
But, maybe @aexbrown can answer, is it helpful to report errant numbers or does it skew scientific data if you remove same?Stay cool

Have you found the blog yet? You may be particularly interested in this entry where there is a bit of discussion about how all the classifications are reduced to the final data: http://blog.wormwatchlab.org/2014/07/30/tip-1-only-mark-fresh-eggs/

You don't have the special Z Key Vision that lets you see the thousands of eggs that are clearly being laid in each video.
[kidding, of course. thank yo for your correct classifications!!]

O.o Is it just me or is the paging of this thread broken? I can go to page 1 with http://talk.wormwatchlab.org/#/boards/BWS0000005/discussions/DWS000028s but there is no link to page two there, and links from recent take me here to page 2, where there is no link to page 1!

Oh dear. We've had this problem before on a different thread. It seems to be a Worm Watch Lab-exclusive issue.
Let me update the GitHub ticket with a fresh example...

What's our record for silly classifications? Is it 909 eggs? 😃
I wonder if the science team can potentially just set a parameter to discard any classifications of, say, over a dozen eggs.

We can, and we certainly will for the analysis we do in the end. I hadn't thought of doing it for the website though. That's probably a good idea, because it certainly does seem to be a distraction, especially the first time people see it!

Oh, good to know that you'll be doing that in the data reduction. Makes sense!

This should be fixed now. Let me know if you are still getting this huge egg numbers showing up.

And so the wall of silly classifications comes to an end!
I wonder if we could stop displaying most of the erroneous markings by only showing previous timings if 2 or more people have marked something? I would guess that most of the completely mistaken classifications are the only timing for the subject.
